La maison de Plecnik, coté rue Aujourd'hui il s'agit d'un musée d'architecture consacré à l’œuvre de Plečnik Photo Annie Dalbéra

Cette maison, achetée en 1915 avec ses frères et sa soeur, a été transformée par Jože Plečnik qui y a vécu dès 1921 et seul la plupart du temps. Il y travaillait et recevait ses étudiants. Il est resté toute sa vie célibataire et a mené une vie ascétique et modeste entièrement consacrée à la création architecturale.

En 1924, il a construit une petite tour circulaire dans laquelle il a installé son studio. Il récupérait des matériaux ou éléments non utilisés sur ses chantiers et les intégrait dans la maison.

A sa mort, en 1957, la maison a été donnée à la ville qui en a fait un musée d'architecture.
