Français : La rue Sainte-Anne avec vue sur le collège des Jésuites vers 1807, aquarelle de George Heriot « Cette gravure de George Heriot nous permet de voir une perspective tout à fait inédite de Québec. L’artiste se trouvait en bordure de la rue Sainte-Anne, adossé à la redoute Royale (auj. Morrin Centre), sur le terrain qui allait être occupé à partir de 1810 par l’église presbytérienne St. Andrew. Le terrain semble être transformé en chantier de construction. Peut-être s’affaire-t-on à construire justement la future église écossaise. De l’autre côté de la rue, derrière le mur de pierre, se trouve l’ancienne propriété des Jésuites. L’espace aujourd’hui occupé par l’ancienne Académie commerciale était alors un terrain boisé. À l’arrière-plan, on aperçoit le collège des Jésuites, transformé en caserne militaire, de même que leur chapelle qui était utilisée, quant à elle, en dépôt de munition. Elle sera démolie en 1807. Encore plus en arrière, on devine la cathédrale catholique Notre-Dame. Au loin se profilent la côte de Beaupré, l’île d’Orléans et la Pointe-de-Lévy. Cette gravure est conservée à Bibliothèque et Archives Canada et elle est intitulée «Scène près de la Grande Batterie [sur la rue des Remparts]».
