Description
English: The Halifax-Dartmouth and District Labour Council (http://hddlc.ca) and Nova Scotia Federation of Labour (http://nsfl.ns.ca) co-sponsored a rally, march and barbeque for locked out postal workers on the CUPW picket line in Halifax on Saturday June 18th.

Hundreds of trade union members from various unions, as well as student activists and community allies, came out to show their support for CUPW in their battles against both Canada Post (which has locked them out and which is attempting to slash their pensions and create two-tier wages for the next generation of workers) and the Harper Tory government (which is moving quickly towards removing the union's right to free and fair collective bargaining in violation of International Labour Organization conventions to which Canada is a signatory, by removing their right to strike through back-to-work legislation).

An Injury To One Is An Injury To All!

Support the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW)!
