Notes The fully rigged ship Falstaff was built at Barrow-in-Furness by the Barrow Shipbuilding Co. for James Beazley & Sons of Liverpool and launched on 24th February 1875. Ordered for the Indian jute trade, she was registered at 1465 tons gross and measured 238 feet in length with a 38 foot beam. Sold to W.B. Jones and registered in Swansea, in 1903, she nearly foundered on a passage from London - Melbourne. Purchased by the Pacific Steam Navigation Co. shortly afterwards, she ended her days as a coak hulk at Callao, Chile.
