Description |
English: On verso of image: Looking toward Alaska-Yukon-Pacific grounds across Lake Union PH Coll 792.GPV3
"Lake Union" is not exactly false here, but it is misleading: this is Portage Bay (of Lake Union), and on the other side of the isthmus at Montlake is Union Bay (of Lake Washington). View point has to be on Capitol Hill, near what is now Roanoke Park. Also, date has to be a bit earlier than 1909, since the A-Y-P Exposition buildings are obviously not yet built. |
