Description
English: Profile view of Lakshmi Narasimha Temple, Nuggehalli, Karnataka. A temple built by the Hoysala Kings in 13th Century. This is a trikuta temple and a good example of Hoysala architecture. The temple has 120 sculptures around the temple. The Lakshmi Narasimha temple was built in 1246 CE by Bommanna Dandanayaka, a commander in the Hoysala Empire during he rule of King Vira Someshwara. Located a short distance away in Nuggehalli, and built around the same time is the Sadashiva temple.
