English: Lt. Col. Stephen Murphy, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District commander, briefs Douglas Lamont, senior official performing duties of secretary of the Army for Civil Works, about the district’s 10 dams, nine with hydropower, and four locks in the Cumberland River Basin. Murphy noted that the average age of these projects is 63 years. Lamont received information from Corps of Engineers and Tennessee Valley Authority officials during a visit to Chickamauga Lock on the Tennessee River in Chattanooga, Tenn., Feb. 28, 2017.
