Summary

edit
Description
English: Wood carving is ancient craftsmanship adopted in Lamu Old Town that grew prominent, especially in its golden ages. One of the most famous artists from Lamu, Muhammad Kijumwa, adopted beautiful works of wood carvings for doors and other pieces of wood as decoration. The patterns employed have a floral aesthetic and vine-like appearance.
