Deutsch: Um das Jahr 826 hat Bischof Radolf von Verona in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft einer schon bestehenden Siedlung eine Kirche sowie Wohnungen für seine Kleriker errichten lassen, die Cella Ratoldi. An dieser Stelle steht heute das Münster Unserer Lieben Frau, das die Reliquien der heiligen Hausherren Theopont, Senesius und Zeno beherbergt.
1436 wurde der Grundstein der spätgotischen Basilika gelegt, 1550 wurde sie vollendet. Mit 82m Höhe hat das Radolfzeller Münster den höchsten Kirchturm am Bodensee. |
