Der Name der Kapelle geht auf eine Sage zurück. Danach litten die Bauern im gesamten Attental unter einer Schlangenplage, darunter auch der Henselehof. Sie gelobten, zu Ehren der Jungfrau Maria eine Kapelle zu errichten. Sie wurden erhört und bauten dafür die Kapelle. |
