Deutsch: Breit, mächtig und weithin sichtbar thront die Burg über Untergruppenbach. Im 11. Jahrhundert erbaut, war sie wohl ein Sitz der Calw-Löwensteiner Grafen. Im Laufe der Jahrhunderte hatte Burg Stettenfels zahlreiche Besitzer, u.a. Ritter Burkhard von Sturmfeder, Herzog Ulrich von Württemberg, die Bankiersfamilie Anton Fugger von der Lilie, Siegfried Levi, ab 1945 die amerikanische Vermögensverwaltung und 1951 erhielt Siegfried Levi seinen Besitz zurück.
Seit 1994 kümmert sich der jetzige Eigentümer Architekt Roland Weimer um die dringend gewordene Renovierung. Die Nutzung der Burg ist vielseitig: Biergarten, Konzerte, Theater und die Festsäle werden vielseitig genutzt. - Johannes Spring, mein 9-facher Urgroßvater, war von 1639 bis 1644 "Fuggerscher Präfekt" auf Burg Stettenfels, er war Hauslehrer beim fuggerischem Nachwuchs. |
