Annotatie : In 1915 werd de NV Landmaatschappij Drenthe opgericht. De aandeelhouders waren vooral eigenaren van plantages in het vroegere Nederlands-Indië. De vennootschap kocht als beleggingsobject ruim 500 hectare woeste grond tussen Wijster en Bruntinge. De Nederlandsche Heidemaatschappij werkte met ossenploegen de heidegrond om tot cultuurgrond
