English: Lanre Howells was born on July 18th in Lagos, Nigeria. While the system still refers to his peers as young men and the future, he has carved a niche as an entrepreneur known for excellence. While he was growing up in an average Nigerian family with a father who was a surveyor and a mother who was a trader, setting goals and achieving them have always been an inbuilt device for him. He started business as a teenager, selling school sandals and uniforms to his classmates as a high school student.

He is especially interested in entertainment, Real Estate, agriculture and mass media. Luckily, his family, partners and friends encouraged those interests; giving him the appropriate support at every turn. That encouragement is the making of this enigma of the boardroom. Lanre Howells founded his first registered company, Globanet Communications in 2002. He founded Varden Farms and Resort which pioneer the developing trend of Farm Houses in Nigeria.

His passion for developing product for the emerging generation in Africa and also closing the gap between the older entrepreneur and the young ones remains one of his priorities. He believes that Africa will have successful businesses only if its heritage and value are given prompt attention.
