| Description |
English: Larch woods, Creag nam Mial. The western slopes of Creag nam Mial have been planted with native trees, mostly Scots Pine. There are also some remnant larch patches, trees of great age, now thanks to the fences these old trees, at the end of their lives can reproduce, and a new generation of larch trees is growing. The square also contains a large area of bog, shown here, a break from the heather, but still very hard going. |
