Summary
editDescriptionLast days of the RM, RM1312 in leafy, rural Clapton Village, London E5, September,2005 - Flickr - sludgegulper.jpg | A c 1961 short Routemaster and a Stagecoach vehicle from 40 years later. On October 29th 2005, Routemaster service on the 38 ended for good, and the RMs were replaced by the "free" Mercedes Benz "bendy-buses", on which fare collection is probably about 25 per cent. No wonder people are so reluctant to board a double decker when a free one will be along in a minute. Well done, Ken. |
