Description
English: Scrapbook belonging to the only female winner of the Velká Pardubická steeplechase Lata Brandisová (1895–1981). In the scrapbook, notes written by family members and friends, Lata’s own poems, and a four - -leaf clover for luck may be found. The Brandis family lived at the Řitka chateau at Prague.(State District Archives Prague-venkov, the Braenkovndis family’s archive, reference code 2-10-1-2-1.)
Čeština: Památník Marie Immaculaty Brandisové (1895–1981) se zápisy od rodinných příslušníků a přátel, s vlastními básněmi nebo čtyřlístkem pro štěstí; Lata, která vyrostla na rodinném zámku Řitka, zdědila po svém otci, hraběti Leopoldovi (1854–1928), velkou vášeň pro koně a jezdectví. Jako vůbec první žena se zúčastnila v roce 1927 Velké pardubické steeplechase a o deset let později, navzdory silné konkurenci jezdců, i zvítězila. Její úspěch dosud žádná další žena nezopakovala.
