| Description |
English: Late crop. Against a mountain background, somewhat reminiscent of Scandinavia, a late, yet to ripen crop. The gap in the skyline is the Larig Ghru with the highest point of the Monadh Ruadh, Ben Macdui (1305m) visible - not an easily glimpsed hill.
(note re naming - I now always use the old name Monadh Ruadh (Red Mounth - Red Mountain) for the great granite plateau of NE Scotland. Cairngorm has lost its meaning, and has been taken by the National Park, which covers a far bigger area and is mostly made up of other ranges. Unfortunately their Gaelic style also uses Monadh Ruadh - this needs sorting out as these granite hills are far too important not to have an identity of their own) |
