Description
English: Junglelike canyon "Bittelschießer Täle", Swabian Alb. This is a remarkable fluvial erosion of the relatively small river Lauchert, which removed glacial moraines and then cut a massive limestone. The canyon is protected by German nature legislation (as a geotope, same strict protection as ecotope or nature reserve).
Deutsch: Canyonartiger Durchbruch im Unterlauf der Lauchert durch das Bittelschießer Täle, W Bingen bei Sigmaringen. Die außergewöhnliche Einschneidung dieses Geotops in einen großen Massenkalk-Hügel hat die Lauchert nach der Riß-Kaltzeit (ca. 140ka) geschafft.
Dichter Baum- und Strauchwuchs im nur ca. 20 - 30m breiten und bis zu 30m hohen Durchbruchstal lassen nur noch Platz für einen Wanderweg.
