Exact location unknown. This shows Laurelhurst (in the middle ground) in the era when most of it was the Seattle Golf Club. But it is hard to say where this point of view would have been, and what is directly in front of us; possibly somewhere near where the Montlake Cut of the Lake Washington Ship Canal later went through? Possibly a holding pond related to the earlier Montlake Ditch (which more or less followed the route of present-day Washington State Route 520 through Montlake)? Maybe looking across Portage Bay and then across roughly where the Montlake Bridge is now?
