Description
Deutsch: Die „Lautertal-Störung“ auf der Mittleren Flächenalb der Schwäbischen Alb ist die wichtigste Verwerfung, die auch die Große Lauter quert. Das Flusstal liegt rechts, 1,5 km außerhalb des Bildes.


Die Lautertal-Störung ist eine ca. 15 km lange, SSW-NNE streichende Verwerfung, die großenteils im Gelände morphologisch deutlich erkennbar ist. Die südliche Scholle erfuhr eine Abschiebung. H. Prinz, 1959, hat diese Verwerfung in drei Zeitphasen aufgeteilt: Alt-Tertiär (Paläogen), Unteres Miozän und mindestens Mittleres Miozän. Die jüngste Verwerfungsphase liegt für den Teil südlich des Großen Lautertals bei Oberwilzingen vor (links außerhalb des Bildes). Der Teil hat die beachtliche Sprunghöhe von 100-115m. Nach Prinz hatte die Störung keinen Einfluss auf das Gefälle des Flusses.

English: The „Lautertal-Störung“, Swabian Alb is the most important fault, crossing the Große Lauter in the rivers lower section (the river valley is approx. 1.5 km to the right, outside the photo). The “dip-slip” fault strikes SSW-NNE for ca. 15 km, with the lower section being to the south. The fault is morphologically well visible. H. Prinz, 1959, separated the fault into three sections of geological epochs: Paleogene, Lower Miocene and Middle Miocene. The youngest displacement is to the south of the river valley, next to the village Oberwilzingen (left outside the photo). Here the dip-slip is of remarkable 100 - 115 m.
