English: Laverock and stubble. A newly manured stubble field, Byres, East Lothian. Looking north across the square past Glenarrol to Gullane. A skylark is flying up in the top corner. Spring sown crops are a great help to a lot of farmland birds who cannot find food in the already planted and sown fields, as is the usual agricultural practice now. |
