English: Danielson Crater is in the Oxia Palus quadrangle and contains many layers. Many faults are easily seen. Dark areas are basalt sand--it settles in low and horizontal spots. n Layers are often formed with the help of water. This image was named HiRISE picture of the day for February 17, 2023.
