Description

Le Parlement (Eduskuntatalo) ou palais de la Diète nationale a été conçu par l'architecte Johan Sigfrid Sirén (27 mai 1889, Ylihärmä - 5 mars 1961, Helsinki) et inauguré en 1931.

L'Eduskuntatalo est dessiné selon le style classique des années 1920. L'extérieur est construit à partir du granit de Kalvola, aux teintes rouges. La façade est décorée de quatorze colonnes dotées de motifs corinthiens.

À l'intérieur, le bâtiment compte cinq étages tous différents les uns des autres. Ils sont connectés par des escaliers de marbre blanc et des ascenseurs.
