Description
Français : Le Point Kilomètre Zéro des Routes de France est devenu un lieu central symbolique. En effet, certains touristes aiment mettre un pied au centre du médaillon. D' autres personnes se font photographier autour de la dalle ou y déposent une pièce de monnaie en donnant l'impression qu' elles font un voeux ou sans intention précise. Ce point zéro peut symboliser le centre de convergence de toutes les villes de France, le lien avec les villes, particulièrement celles les plus éloignées de Paris, ou encore le centralisme de l' Etat.

Le Point Zéro (plus précisément le Point Kilomètre Zéro) des Routes de France est matérialisé par une dalle en quatre quartiers au centre de laquelle est placé un médaillon hexagonal représentant une rose des vents. C' est à partir de ce point que sont calculées, en kilomètres, les distances routières entre Paris et les autres villes de France. Ce Point Zéro est situé sur le parvis de Notre-Dame de Paris.
