Description
Français : Le clocher-porche de l'Église Saint-Porchaire de Poitiers Rue Gambetta Bordé de maisons, en saillie sur la voie piétonne, le clocher-porche est un rescapé. En effet, au xixe siècle, les édiles décident sa destruction pour rendre la rue plus rectiligne. Il est sauvé in extremis par la mobilisation de la société des antiquaires de l'Ouest et de Prosper Mérimée, inspecteur des Monuments historiques.
