Description
Français : Abbaye du Thoronet (Var). Les mécanismes du glissement de terrain affectant l’abbaye du Thoronet et le remède appliqué par un drainage.

Cet exemple nous montre qu’aujourd’hui, les techniques traditionnelles maintenues par le service des monuments historiques et les entreprises et artisans spécialisés ne sont pas toujours suffisantes pour assurer la sauvegarde d’un édifice ou d’un site, mais qu’il faut aussi l’apport des techniques les plus modernes en matière de génie civil (La conception et la maîtrise d’œuvre des travaux ont été confiés au bureau Coyne et Bellier après un appel d’offres sur concours de projets lancé par la Conservation régionale des monuments historiques de Provence-Alpes-Côte d’azur en 1987. Les travaux ont été exécutés par la société MIGEC-SOMAFER.
