The main entrance of the opera by the fjord. L'opéra national de Norvège à Oslo, conçu par l'agence Snøhetta (architectes Kjetil Trædal Thorsen, Tarald Lundevall et Craig Dykers) a reçu le prix européen d'architecture contemporaine 2009 <a href="http://www.operaen.no/" rel="noreferrer nofollow">www.operaen.no/</a> <a href="http://snoarc.no/" rel="noreferrer nofollow">snoarc.no/</a> <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oslo_Opera_House" rel="noreferrer nofollow">en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oslo_Opera_House</a> L'édifice émerge du fjord au bord duquel il est construit tel un iceberg. Son toit blanc en marbre de Carrare, culminant à 32 mètres, est incliné afin d'y accueillir les promeneurs. A l'intérieur, trois salles de 1350, 400 et 200 places. Une grande partie des 38500 mètres carrés du bâtiment étant située sous le niveau de la mer, sa construction a nécessité la pose de 12000 m2 de palplanches. Il repose sur 28 kilomètres de piliers dont certains à moins 60 mètres.
