| Description |
English: Legacy of the ice age This boulder of gritstone has been exposed as the Nant Llynfell has eroded its banks. It would have been moved along by glacial ice from right to left some 20,000 years ago and appears to have been driven down into the mudstones, gouging out a hole in the rock surface and has become lodged at this point. An effective method of erosion. the succeeding millennia have seen soil and peat layers accumulate over the top of it concealing it until recently. |
