English: Lejrehal in Lejre, Sjælland, Danmark is a farm from the Viking Age (800-1050 AD). The outline of an a unusually large hall has been marked on the ground (48,5 meters long, 11,5 meters wide and 10 meters high). The size of the hall indicates that the farm may have been a chieftains or a kings farm. The burial mound Mysselhøj, in the background is considered to be from the Bronze Age, but is not excavated. |
