| Description |
English: Lendal Tower. Lendal Tower stands on the opposite bank to Barker Tower 590641. It was also built as a boom tower around 1300. The tower has since been used as a water tower and more recently as offices.
Both towers would originally have had a huge chain strung between them. This would have prevented any merchant ships from entering the city without paying a toll. |
