English: Lenin statue from outside the "Csepel ironworks" factory (Csepel was in the late nineteenth century an intensely industrial area, with manufacturies and soviet heavy machinery plants). The metal statue is about 2 meter 50 cm high and was originally located in Csepel Island, the working class district and industrial area located south of Budapest, in front of the factory complex called "Csepel Muvek" (Csepel Works), which was the flagship of the Hungarian heavy industry. The statue of Lenin with his outstretched right hand was installed in Budapest in 1958 at Khrushchev's suggestion but was removed in 1989. It was not untill 1996 that the statue was again to see in Budapest, after the factory donated it to the Memento Park.
Deutsch: Lenin-Statue außerhalb der "Csepel Eisen- und Metallwerke" (Csepel war Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts ein intensiv Industriegebiet, mit Fabriken und sowjetischen Anlagen der schweren Maschinerie). Die Metallstatue ist ungefähr 2 Meter 50 cm hoch und stand ursprünglich in der Csepel Insel, der Arbeiterklaßebezirk und Industriegebiet im Süden von Budapest, vor dem Haupteingang der Fabrik "Csepel Muvek" (Csepel Arbeiten), die das Flaggschiff der ungarischen Schwerindustrie war. Die Statue von Lenin mit seiner ausgestreckten rechten Hand war in 1958 nach dem Vorschlag von Khrushchev nach Budapest angebracht aber wurde bereits 1989 entfernt. Es war nicht bis 1996, dass die Statue wieder in Budapest zu sehen war, nachdem die Fabrik die dem Szoborpark-Museum (oder Memento Park) schenkte.

Té aproximadament 2 metres 50 cm d'alçada i estava situada a l'illa de Csepel (un barri de classe obrera i zona industrial al sud de Budapest), davant les portes de la fàbrica "Csepel Muvek" (Trevalls de Csepel), la qual era el buc insígnia de l'industria pesada hongaresa. La estàtua de Lenin amb la mà extesa va ser col·locada a Budapest el 1958 però el 1989 ja va ser retirada. No va ser fins el 1996 que la estàtua va veure de nou la llum, quan va ser reubicada al parc Memento. |

en: Memento Park is an open air museum in Budapest, dedicated to monumental statues from Hungary's Communist period (1949-1989). There are statues of Lenin, Marx, and Engels, as well as Hungarian Communist leaders such as Béla Kun, Endre Ságvári, or Árpád Szakasits. The park was designed by Hungarian architect, Akos Eleod, who won the competition announced by the Budapest General Assembly (Fővárosi Közgyűlés) in 1991.
de: Der Szoborpark (Statuenpark; auch Memento Park) befindet sich im Südwesten der ungarischen Hauptstadt Budapest. Er wurde 1993 eröffnet und umfasst eine von Akos Eleöd gestaltete Sammlung von Denkmälern aus der Zeit des Realsozialismus.
ru: Парк «Мементо» — музей в Будапеште, созданный по проекту Акоша Элееда и открывшийся в 1993 году. Основную часть парка занимает собрание скульптур социалистического периода истории Венгрии общей численностью в 40 экспонатов. Большая часть этих скульптур была демонтирована в 1989 году и свезена в парк, где был создан музей под открытым небом.
