Less than 200 Meters from the 1st Leopard, this unbelievable specimen was seated on the road & melted in to the Jungle!

English: .. the jeep crawled its way to the spot, he was hiding in the undergrowth less than 10 meters away from us. We stayed with him with in 8 meters for over 40 minutes. As time went we found the reason! A female in estrous had urinated and advertised her availability! His interest naturally was totally on the scent marking of the female. Though he kept looking at us, he was oblivious to our presence, and as time went came even closer. Some photos were so close, we could actually count all the ticks hanging on his ear. We lost count of time, but approximately 40 minutes to 1 hour later, wishing him luck, left him in peace. |
