Description
English: The artisan eco-village "Les Ateliers de Tyr" which promotes traditional crafts like glass blowing, pottery, glass painting and silkscreen printing in Phoenician design. Located in the middle of an orange orchard in Abassiyeh, near Tyre (Southern Lebanon), it was initiated by Maha al-Khalil Chalabi, a scioness from a feudal dynasty and UNESCO goodwill ambassador who founded the International Association to Save Tyre. The complex was inaugurated in 2017.
