Français : "Les Fantômes des Taira noyés", estampe d'Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797-1861). Japon. Entre 1848 et 1852. Estampe. Editeur : Enshuya Hikobei. Conservé au British Museum de Londres (Royaume-Uni). Inv. : 1907.0531.0.230.1.3.

Exposée lors de l'exposition "Enfers et fantômes d'Asie" au musée du quai Branly à Paris (France) en 2018.

Légende dans cette exposition : "En 1185, à l'issue d'une bataille restée célèbre, le clan des Taira est vaincu dans la baie de Daimotsu par le clan Minamoto. Après la défaite, les spectres des noyés Taira provoquèrent le naufrage d'un bateau ennemi pour se venger."
