Le monastère Roussanou (au centre de la photo) a été reconstruit au 16è siècle. __________ Les Météores sont des rochers de près de 300 m, étrangement taillés par l'érosion, situés à la lisière de la plaine de Thessalie sur lesquels des anachorètes se sont retirés dès le 11è siècle. Des monastères ont été construits au sommet des rochers à partir du 14è siècle. Saint Athanase venu du mont Athos y a fondé le Grand Météore.
