Français : Les Clues de Barles
Sur la route reliant Digne-les-Bains à Barles, les gorges deviennent si étroites qu’on passe difficilement à deux voitures... Ce paysage rocheux grandiose sculpté par la nature s’apprécie encore mieux à pieds ! Le mot « clue » vient du latin «clausus» et signifie «fermé». Une clue est donc un passage presque «clos», ouvert généralement par le travail de sape d’une rivière. Les clues de Barles, quant à elles, ont été ouvertes par le Bès (affluent de la Bléone, donc un sous-affluent du Rhône par la Durance), dans une barre calcaire datant de la fin du Jurassique ou du début du crétacé inférieur, soit entre 155 et 140 millions d’années. La rivière s’est frayée un chemin à travers des couches verticales, très épaisses, en profitant des fragilités de la roche. |
