Description

Une partie des collections permanentes du petit Palais

Construit pour l’Exposition Universelle de 1900 et devenu musée en 1902, le Petit Palais est situé sur l’avenue Winston Churchill qui relie les Champs-Élysées à l’esplanade des Invalides.

Œuvre de l'architecte Charles Girault (1851-1932), le Petit Palais est conçu selon un plan en forme de trapèze et s’ordonne en quatre corps de bâtiment, autour d’un jardin semi-circulaire bordé d’un péristyle richement orné.

Le petit Palais est le musée des beaux-arts de la ville de Paris.
