English: Manuscript. Rabbi Samson Refael Hirsch: Letter Regarding the Community during His Rabbinate in Emden. Rabbi Samson Refael Hirsch: Lengthy letter from his stint in the Emden Rabbinate. With additional documents from the era that Rabbi Hirsch served in the Emden region. The letter is written and signed by Rabbi Hirsch ztz"l. It discusses the appointment of a cantor in one of the communities under his dominion, Aurich. The letter was written in German by Rabbi Hirsch on the 26th of May, 1846, and bears his signature.
