Svante Arrhenius (1859-1927) congratulates Georg Bredig (1868-1944) on his new position as the first associate professor of physical chemistry at the University of Heidelberg. Arrhenius continues to describe a disagreement between himself, Walther Nernst (1864-1941), and Hans Max Jahn (1853-1906). Arrhenius also reports on writing his first book on cosmic physics.
