Mirèio Lettre autographe à l'encre, sur papier pelure bleu. - Au début de l'année 1863, Frédéric Mistral accepte qu'une oeuvre lyrique soit composée sur son poème Mirèio (Mireille), Carré en écrit seul le livret.. - Gounod quitte Paris au début du mois de mars, répondant à l'invitation de Mistral à venir connaître la Provence. - Au moment où il écrit cette lettre, il n'a pas encore choisi sa résidence ("Dès que je t'aurai donné mon adresse") Correspondance Carré, Michel (1822-1872).
