Español: Pedro López de Victoria fue un importante mercader vasco con estrechas relaciones con Flandes, donde encargó este laudo sepulcral de latón, destinado a cubrir su tumba y la de su mujer. En ella, se representa a los dos cónyuges, vestidos "a la flamenca"; su marca de mercader, en lugar de su escudo de armas, al no ostentar éste título nobiliario; y la fecha de fallecimiento, que fue agregada posteriormente.
Realizado en Latón, custodiado en el Museo Vasco de Bilbao, y fotografiado en préstamo para la Exposición "Tiempos Modernos" del Museo Nacional de Escultura en Valladolid. Data de 1486, y el autor es un anónimo flamenco. |
