Description
English: Sixteen liberated Prisoners of War arrive in Washington, D.C. in 18 September 1945: Fifteen were survivors of the heavy cruiser USS Houston (CA-30) which was sunk by Japanese gunfire and torpedoes during the Battle of Sunda Strait, 1 March 1942; one sailor was captured on 6 May 1942 when Corregidor fell.
