English: Horseshoe Hill, South Vietnam. 1968-03-28. The Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Sir Thomas Daly (centre), speaks with Brigade Headquarters (BHQ) soldiers of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), at the Horseshoe, south-east of Nui Dat. Sir Thomas was on his regular six-monthly visit to troops in South-East Asia. 3RAR were on Operation Pinnaroo, a search for Viet Cong in the Long Hai Hills. |
