Description

PLEASE, NO invitations or self promotions, THEY WILL BE DELETED. My photos are FREE to use, just give me credit and it would be nice if you let me know, thanks.

It is an attraction in a riverside public campground. Located near the campground entrance on the east side of the canal in Les Coteaux, about 480 m north of the front light.

On September 12, 1900, Thomas Monro, the civil engineer in charge of the canal, reported: "The fixed red light is working well," and that "it clearly indicates the course to follow." The gas-operated range lights were converted to electricity in 1903.
