Description
English: Ancient limestone anchor, found off the coast of Mandria, Paphos District, Cyprus. Hellenistic - Roman period, 312 BC - AD 395. Collection Archaeological Museum of Paphos. Stocks would be inserted in the two holes at the lower end of the stone in order to penetrate and hook into the sea floor.
