English: Lincoln Castle, Lincoln Lucy Tower, 1 of 3 - The original motte of the Castle and surmounted by the Medieval 15-sided Keep. It was named after the mother of a 12th century owner, Lucy, Countess of Chester.
This shows the grounds within the Keep. The gravestones mark the burial of prisoners who were executed in the Castle in Victorian times. |
