Summary edit
DescriptionLinenhall Street, Belfast - geograph.org.uk - 226713.jpg |
English: Linenhall Street, Belfast. Linenhall Street (named after the old white-linen hall) was once home to many linen warehouses. After sliding into something approaching oblivion in the 70s and early 80s it has seen quite a bit of re-development. There are several new and recent buildings and one of the old warehouses was sympathetically restored as offices. There are also several coffee and sandwich shops and a restaurant. The street does not really go anywhere and is not a through route. On Saturdays and Sundays it is almost devoid of pedestrians. This is the view north to the rear entrance to the City Hall. |
