Description

Le zoo de Berlin a été créé à la fin du 18ème siècle dans l'île aux Paons, puis transféré en 1844 dans un parc près du centre-ville aménagé par Peter Joseph Lenné. Il est toujours dans cet espace situé aujourd'hui au coeur de Berlin.

Les premiers pavillons du zoo ont été conçus dans le style des pays d'où provenaient les animaux qui y étaient hébergés.

Le zoo et l'aquarium de Berlin ont reçu près de 3.000.000 de visiteurs en 2010.

Le zoo est célèbre dans le monde et le plus visité en Europe.
