Description
Deutsch: Fünfzehn Jahre lang meditierte der Bildhauer Morice Lipsi. Dann hatte er die Idee des Lipsi-Rads, das er als selbst als Höhepunkt seines Schaffens betrachtete. Die Stadt Mannheim kaufte das Rad 1964 aus Lipsis Ausstellung in der Kunsthalle für 60.000 DM. 1965 wurde es an der Carl-Diehm-Halle aufgestellt und bekam den Spitznamen “Mühlrad”. Vier Jahre später fuhr es in Lastwagenfahrer um. Seitdem hat das Rad Bruchstellen. Nach der Reparatur wurde das Rad an der Kunsthalle aufgestellt. 1975 bekam es seinen heutigen Platz.
