Español: "Es un pan autóctono del País Vasco, utilizado especialmente para hacer sopas, de hecho, su nombre significa para sop en euskera. Tiene poca miga y una corteza muy tostada que le aporta a la sopa un toque especial y un color oscuro característico."
Euskara: "Euskadiko bertako ogia da, eta, bere izenak adierazten duen moduan, ogi-zopak egiteko bereziki erabilia. Mami gutxi eta azala oso txigortua dauka. Horrek ukitu berezia eta kolore iluna ematen dizkio zopari."
